Eco-Friendly Sewage Treatment Through Waste Stabilization Pond Technology
The Titagarh Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), developed by Navita Nirman Limited, is a large-scale government infrastructure project located in Titagarh, West Bengal. This facility integrates Activated Sludge Process (ASP) with Oxidation Pond (OP) technology to manage and treat municipal sewage efficiently while promoting sustainable wastewater management.
The dual-technology setup allows for advanced biological treatment, where the ASP system provides accelerated decomposition of organic matter and the OP component ensures additional stabilization and polishing of the effluent. The project reduces the environmental footprint of untreated sewage, supports water quality improvement in local water bodies, and complies with all CPCB and state pollution control regulations.
